Why I don't read newspapers?

I have seen many people reading newspaper, though i frankly never felt inclined towards doing so. Though one day out of sheer boredom I tried the thick bundle of pages neatly arranged. I was told by my friends who happened to read that the first and last pages were worth a short. So i started reading those pages and did find them amusing. But like all good things the pages ended and i still have time to kill. So i decide to read what was in the other pages. As soon as i started reading the second page, sadness hit me. Overwhelming  me. All the news headlines read about crimes done by people who were only scientifically human. The crime had quite a variety in themselves from brutal murders to greedy corruptions, all were their. The thought of reading news like these over tea in the morning, didn't exactly qualified in my list of things i want to do. Call it my denial against the ruthless world but i really have never read the second page from then on (unless of course it was a entertainment paper!)

The night sky...

Looking up at the night sky is always a dazzling experience. The billions of stars so far away, yet so close. The beauty of nature creating one more of its masterpieces. The stars appear to be placed randomly and that' what gives them their beauty. But like anything in nature they are not random, far from it. They are in patterns; constellations. The beauty is beyond describing.

Happy new year...or is it?

It was a new session in the school. Everybody was excited, hoping this year would be different, better. Adam didn't knew if this year was better but he sure as hell knew it was different, because this year he was dead...sort of.
The hallways were buzzing with kids going towards their classes. Running, looking forward to the day, unlike Adam.
In this mob of student one of them fell to the ground bruising his knees. The bruise started to bleed. Adam's eyes fell on it. The monster in him went on an uproar. He quickly dashed into the bathroom away from the sight of mortals...

The Journey...

One of the most interesting thing about travelling is the journey. Looking out of the window of the bus/plane/train. Looking at things that you pass as you reach your destination. The change in the scenery can tell you more about a place than you will find by reading it. Going from a city to a countryside is always mesmerizing. When the huge tall buildings are replaced by modest cottages. The cars are replaced by carts. The stray dogs by goats, hens. And the concrete jungle turns into a pleasant nature scenery. It helps you to escape the stress of the city, to escape the race and sit down and relax. To escape into one

Sunrise...

The mild wind hitting your face. The stroke of lights filtering through the clouds ending the night. And slowly, gracefully the sun rises again after setting the last night. The sun has risen.
It teaches us a lot of things but the most important is standing up even after falling...
The Egyptians believed that sun god Ra went through the river battling the monsters of night and being reborn every day, younger and stronger. They believed that what doesn't kills you...makes you stronger...

Worst night ever...

The night was frosty cold, and James was wondering why the hell he was out so late in the worst possible climate? All because of his boss, that man couldn't just let him be at peace. Just as James was heading out he handed him two more files. Well now he was done now and sat up to leave. He stepped out of the office. It was unusually quite, maybe cause of the weather.
He sat in his car and drove. He felt chills down his spine even though the heater was on. He had the growing suspicion that he was being followed which was a stupid thought considering there was no one on the street.....

Friends

Friends are like carbon....
the good one's are worth diamond
others are just coal.

Religion or division?

Just the other day I heard a debate about the division religion was causing. I personally don't believe religion can cause division. Religion in hindi means dharma which means reaching God and becoming one with God. Now if something means becoming one how could it divide??? Hinduisim,Islam, Christanity etc. aren't religions, they are mere paths to reach God. I believe that all the divisions are caused by a few people with narrow mentality and politicians who use them as vote banks.

The world beyond...the oak tree door...

The oak door looked like from the 19's fairly old but the thing that was inside made the the door seem like a new born. Something those who believed in god feared and those who wanted god to step down would give anything to release. None of them seem to realize that the 'thing' inside the sealed door didn't give a damn about the world or god, because he was not from this world and their HE was the god....

Life

Today I am writing about something I noticed in the city. I was taking a casual walk down  the street when for no certain reason i looked up. The sun was about to set behind the clouds. The clouds due to the sun has gained the hue of red. It was beautiful, mesmerizing even. Then I realized, this beautiful display of nature happened every day, we just didn't look. We people of the city are so busy making a living, working, looking down at the road to ensure a safe step that we forget to look up, to forget exactly what we are suppose to do: TO LIVE.
